On the edge of the rabbit-hole

So she was considering in her own mind (as well as she could, for the hot day made her feel very sleepy and stupid), whether the pleasure of making a daisy-chain would be worth the trouble of getting up and picking the daisies, when suddenly a White Rabbit with pink eyes ran close by her.

Weekend sewing

I took advantage of the long weekend and did a bunch of sewing.

Mostly I made some goodies for the wonderful women who have been working with me at the preschool.

These two bags are for the director of my school and the teacher I have worked with for the last 3 years, both who were extremely supportive in my jump into teaching by myself. Hopefully the bags are big enough to hold some books and planning materials. They have little pockets on the side for keys and phones. My keys and phone always instantly make their way to the bottom of any bag hiding under whatever is in there.

These little triangle bags are for the assistants in my class. The zipper is 7 inches long and the idea came from a bag my friend Karen had made.

The inside has contrasting fabric cuz I think it's fun.

I was also working on this, but you guys are gonna have to wait to hear about it!

  1. I need to try those rectangle bags. I've got a ton of scraps I need to use up, and I have the feeling those bags would make excellent stocking stuffer material.
